Upcoming 2023 Courses

Women’s road cycling development courses

This program was launched in 2017 and has gone through a few variations to meet the needs of the community. Participants from this program will learn everything from gear selection, to bike handling and emergency maneuvers, to climbing and team riding skills.

This year, we will once again be running road clinics in conjunction with RNR Premier Event.  The program will run Wednesday night for 4 consecutive weeks starting May 24. Capacity has been limited to 12 participants.

Road Ready

This clinic is for anyone who is not totally comfortable on their bike in a group, on a roadway, or who just wants to learn a bit more. Through out the course you will how to appropriately use your gearing and brakes, proper pedal stroke, cornering and manoeuvring, how to ascend and descend small hills, anticipating movement, group riding, and riding with traffic.

Our goal is to keep you safe, having fun, and getting you comfortable to ride wherever the wheels take you this summer!

Women’s track cycling development program

This program has been running through the Calgary Bicycle Track League (CBTL) with Watt Riot Cycling coaches since 2017. The program runs for five (5) weeks on Monday evenings beginning May 15th, 2022 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at a cost of $100 to participants. Participants are not required to own a track bike, they will be provided by CBTL, our coaches will set you up on your bike in the first session, you will need to remember you bike number and saddle height for sequential weeks.

Participants will learn everything for basic track skill through to racing and motor pacing. The program is progressive and we recommend participants attend all sessions. Capacity is currently limited to 18 participants.

At any time participants not holding full CBTL memberships have the option to “top-up”  fees and become full CBTL members with access to all other CBTL programming.

Registration will be available on Zone4 through CBTL membership portal, select the Women’s Program Option.
