Meet Janelle

Or as we (okay Erin) like to call her, our Chief Bicycling Officer.
Seriously, if you need something weird for your bike, have an issue with your bike, or just want to experience something new on your bike, Janelle is your woman. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things related to bicycles and cycling. Maybe because she grew up in the industry, maybe because she truly loves the sport. It doesn't matter why, all that matters is she's got you covered. Which is awesome.

Janelle grew up in Saskatoon terrorizing the neighborhoods on her custom painted PINK bike complete with streamers and spoke décor (don't worry, we will get our hands on some photos). Her family encouraged her to get outside, travel, play sports, and love life which really shows. Janelle went into Kinesiology as a way to join her passions of sports and science. After rocking her degree she was quickly moved into coaching positions at Winsport and The Oval. This woman knows her stuff.

Off the bike, Janelle is basically up to do any activity as long as it gets her outside. We'd list all the things she enjoys but you'd be here for a day. If the air is fresh this woman is in. Rain, snow, sleet, or shine. Just do it but afterwards you better be ready to help cook a wicked meal while listening to some great old school jams. No top 40 here thank you very much.

When you ask Janelle why she was excited to join Watt Riot, she may jokingly tell you it was for the upgrade, she actually didn't know about that when she said yes. Really she joined because she loves the idea of strong women racing together and supporting one another. She sees Watt Riot as a catalyst for growth in women's cycling in Alberta and is pretty darn excited to play a part in that.

If you haven't already done so, check out our Indiegogo page and grab your tickets to our upcoming Family Day FUNdraiser, Janelle will be there to coach you through the spin and talk bikes with you afterwards.
